My wife and I stopped here a couple times this week. Once for lunch and once for ice cream. For lunch I had the crab salad sandwich, which was very good. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger which appeared to be completely microwaved. Honestly, if it was good, I wouldn't care, but it was overdone and very tough. That with the fact that it was $11 seems crazy. For "restaurant" prices, we expect the food to be better. We went back today and had ice cream. Ice cream was good, but again left feeling overcharged. I had a prepackaged item and my wife and a single scoop bowl and a water for $12. Maybe being at the beach I should expect being gouged, but honestly the pizza at the convenient store next door was better tasting and better priced.

We grabbed a few sandwiches upon our arrival. Definitely worth the walk. The ice looked really good too but we had to pass. The steak and cheese was very good as was the club. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Great local ice cream and throwback diner style restaurant. Ice cream top notch, service with a smile. Family friendly. What you would expect from a neighborhood that doesn't accept large chains. Love it

We make a trip, more like trips, to this parlor every time we visit Florida and it never disappoints. They use BluBell ice cream which is a solid choice. They also have very good fudge.

They have the best icecream! Homemade and delicious. We come to Strawberry's everytime we make a trip to Florida and usually come multiple times during our stay. Haven't had their burgers or anything but their icecream never disappoints. Always are welcoming and friendly, we will continue to make trips to Strawberry's a vacation tradition.

We had burgers here last weekend and enjoyed them very much. Good good, good service and err tipped it off with key lime pie on a stick...yummy.

Went around 6 pm on a Sunday night hoping to get a quick dinner. The wrap I got was huge, very tasty and filling, but it took 10-15 minutes to get it even with only one other table of people waiting and no further orders coming in. Didn't try the ice cream seeing as it was just Blue Bell (dozens of visible cartons in the dining room freezer) and not anything they made themselves, so the prices didn't look justified. Wouldn't go again.

I swear I wrote a review of this place, I must have forgotten. This past summer we ventured out to the island in order to try their "world famous best burgers in town." Too bad we have never tried them. It was raining, hot and humid. Your typical Florida weather. We walked in the front of the restaurant the door is wide open, it is blazing hot inside, and when the one woman looked up from the counter she did not have a very welcoming face. The only thing I remember was looking at my partner and saying, "Did she just leer at us?" Then the smell hit. I will never forget the smell......old fryer oil. That combined with the afore mentioned and I walked out and said we'd find somewhere else to eat. I don't care how good your food is I shouldn't smell the fryer and you should not make your customers suffer in the Florida heat. I have heard from some of the guys that have eaten there that their food is not THAT great.

We were ready for a local place for fast but good food. We were greeted by great staff and and enjoyed excellent food. I had the chili cheese dog with pasta salad and my husband the bacon cheese burger with coleslaw. Everything was made that day and perfect to order. I had a strawberry thick shake, YUM, and my husband a cookies and cream milkshake. We could not asked for any better.

Strawberry's has poke in the ground signs advertising the best burgers in town. Well, if you like overcooked, unseasoned hockey pucks of beef than they would be right. 3 of us had lunch there today and spent $41.00 for 2 burgers a wrap and 1 milkshake. Pretty ridiculous pricing if you ask me. The people are friendly and the cashier, responding to my astonishment over the bill and the quality of food, told me to come back after 5. I guess the evening cook is much better. I've come here for years for ice cream and, after today, I think I'll stick to the confections. The food, not so much...

It is hard to find Ice Cream near Jensen Beach. This is pretty good and I love locally owned establishments. They said it has been open 25 years.

I left this place feeling displeased. The food was alright. I don't think it was a great price but it was close to the beach. But the amount of ice cream for $3.50 was a sad. Maybe I'm just used to great ice cream shops but I felt like I was taken advantage of. Also one of the servers was very sweet but the other... not so much. I didn't appreciate her snark.

We stopped by while in the area today. We had a hot dog, a chilli dog, an ice cream and a milk shake. My hotdog came with coleslaw and a pickle on a bun that didn't look like it came out of a bag, which is a good thing I think. I really enjoyed the hotdog and the pickle was yummy. I was really surprised by the coleslaw, they said everything was made fresh and it tasted like it actually was! I really liked the coleslaw and ate everything on my plate. The ice cream was Blue Bunny if the packages in the cooler were an indication. I like Blue Bunny so I wasn't unhappy about that. My husband also enjoyed his chilli dog with pasta salad and pickle and said his milk shake was delicious and he ate it all as well. I admit to a bit of sticker shock at $27 for that but this is Florida, they are practically on the beach and we did eat it all up and enjoyed it so I wasn't complaining. We would happily return if we were in the area again.

I've been going to Strawberry's since I was a kid. The homemade ice cream here is the bomb-diggity!! Hands down!! The taste and consistency of the ice cream is a dead give away for the quality of the ice cream. I highly recommend the mango and coconut ice cream. Delicious!! Best place around to get great quality ice cream!! Give it a try!! :)

I took my family to Stawberries a few weeks back. While the sandwich was fine, their coupon policy was quite odd. The owner was very unfriendly when we presented a coupon. We did not try the ice cream because of the unfriendly treatment. I had written a more detailed review for this restaurant but it seems to have vanished.

Food was good but not great. Went because we could walk from hotel. Sign out front says "best burger in town" In our opinion to have the best burger it needs to not be over cooked (asked for medium rare, burger was barely pink in the middle) and needs to come with great fries. This place has no fryer so no fries. Pasta salad is not my choice of great side for a burger. 3 of us are for around $50 including ice cream.

  • Neil B.

My wife and I had ice cream here 8 years ago. Last night we ate dinner. Absolutely wonderful. I had the bacon cheeseburger. I asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I also had a coffee milk shake, also perfect. Found out it was made with Blue Bell (not Blue Bunny) ice cream. We had fallen in love with Blue Bell when we lived in Texas. Unfortunately we can't get it in St. Louis. The staff is friendly and aim to please. We are here for 3 weeks so I'm certain we will be back.

This place is great! We frequently stop in here on Sundays when we are heading out of the island and back to reality. I have tried a few different things now and am hardly ever disappointed. It is all just really "homey" foods. The burgers you can't go wrong with, the hotdogs are steamed and not grilled, the chicken salad is delicious. I will say I was so excited to try their homemade pasta salad - ugh, that was my disappointment, it was dry and tasted like pepper. It seemed like it was made that morning was thrown in the fridge and that is it. Really, to make it so much better is put a little dressing on it - let it sit in the fridge and then just add more dressing right before you serve it so its not dry. Blue Bell ice cream is what they serve and it is delicious! My brothers get the milkshakes, I stick to my favorite praline pecan and no one is ever not happy. We wish the tables were a little bigger but that is only because we usually go in with 5 people at the minimum depending who is there for the weekend - they are really great though with letting us pull up chairs and tables to accommidat everyone. Great - now I want ice cream

We had lunch their today. The girls that put our food together couldn't have been nicer. The owner is lucky to have them. Tasha nod Portia(not sure is spelling is accurate.). The food was good and the girls made us feel very comfortable and welcome.

GREAT PLACE! The ice cream is "out of this world" and the staff is very helpful and courteous. So glad we stopped here after a day in the sun. We will go again everytime we are in town (every month).

Super friendly staff!!! After reading previous reviews I had to try a burger (and added cheese & bacon for kicks)--I was very pleased. 90% lean fresh beef was perfectly cooked to order, it also had beautiful red tomatoes & romaine lettuce on a deli-like bun. It was super fresh and hot and delicious!!! Coleslaw was unique in a good way--I could have eaten a whole plate of it! My two-scoop ice cream sundae was small (served in a small clear party cup) but ice cream was Blue Bunny and yummy. It's across from the Courtyard by Marriott, an easy walk since I was stuck at the hotel while my husband had business in the area. I was happy to pay the slightly higher than average prices for the service and fresh food and to support the 25-yr old local business although no big chains are allowed in this area.
